With the premiere of the latest installment in the Terminator franchise, the time is right to unveil my first attempt at filmmaking. Back to the Brewery is a spoof of 1980s time-travel movies a la Spaceballs. My high-school buddies and I shot this mockery of a movie with a rented camcorder on weekends during our senior year. Continuity is a joke. Production values are nonexistent. Special effects are primitive. The acting is pathetic. And the script, for which I take full responsibility, is just awful. But it was a heckuva lot of fun to make.

I play Colonel Jack Rabbit, the hero from the future. Anthony Marino plays Otto Tumbleweed, my comedic sidekick. Colbert Chang plays the Suzuki Samurai, an evil humanoid robot powered by cheap beer and the occasional slice of pizza. The film also features Jeffrey Gallagher, Michael Fichera, and Marielise Arana (sorry, guys, for embarrassing you all). Below is the opening scene. The year was 1987, so please excuse my mullet.
